Melinda Doolittle, “Have a Nice Day”: 20
If that’s Melinda’s idea of doing rock badly, I’d love to see what she thinks is good. That was awesome and a great choice of song. I think Jon might have been serious about her joining the band…

Chris does what I expected...
Chris Richardson, “Wanted Dead or Alive”: 12
I warned you about this one. I don’t care what the judges said it’s time for Chris to go home…

Blake takes a HUGE risk...
Blake Lewis, “You Give Love a Bad Name”: 19
I was really worried and when it was over, I wasn’t sure what to say. But I really liked it and I really like him. I said I had missed his fun side. But Blake, PLEASE go back to being a blonde.

LaKisha: She's Ba-ack!
LaKisha Jones, “This Ain’t a Love Song”: 18
LaKisha is back—so back that Simon gave her a big kiss on the lips. She FINALLY chose a good song and she sang it pretty well with just a few problems (The band being the biggest one.). But will it be enough to cancel out last week’s performance?

Will Jordin Be "Livin' On a Prayer"?
Jordin Sparks, “Livin’ On a Prayer”: 16
Jon did everything he could to help her through this one, but I think he would’ve served her better to tell her to sing another song. I said I wanted to see her rock out, but I was VERY wrong. She should’ve gone with a ballad. Simon was right this time. It was bad…

Phil starts in a "Blaze of Glory"
Tonight is going to be fun, so let’s get it started…
Antonella Barba and Gina Glocksen are both in the house tonight. I bet this really hurts Gina to not be on that stage rocking out…
And in case we were wondering—and we were—“Idol Gives Back” raised almost $70 million. That’s pretty impressive…
Now let’s get down to business...
Phil Stacey, “Blaze of Glory”: 20
WOW! Simon, I love you, but what were you listening to? This absolutely rocked. I hated him doing it in the audience, though, because I think that song deserves a little stage drama, but it sounded awesome! And Jon, just for the record, that song was for “Young Guns II”…

Is it Bon Jovi Week after all?
Yesterday, "Entertainment Weekly" posted an interview with Michael Orland, the "Idol" arranger (He's the guy you usually see at the piano during the coaching videos.), who this week is working with Chris, Phil and Jordin.
They asked him what we can expect for this week and he answered, "I think the guys definitely have an advantage singing Bon Jovi songs. Whatever the girls do, they should get extra props for having to sing a guy rock & roll-vibe song."
When asked if the theme had been tough on Jordin, he said that "the second it was announced we were doing a Bon Jovi week, she requested her song early. She knew exactly what she was going to sing."
So, it sounds like the top six will have to sing Bon Jovi songs after all. This is going to be fun!
