Constantine Goes "Boldface"

CBS has built a special website to help promote Constantine’s run on “The Bold and the Beautiful”…

The website is at www.boldfacerecords.com. Boldface Records is the name of the fictional Constantine’s record label. At the site, you’ll find an interview with Constantine, his biography and clips from the show. One of those clips is a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the “Girl Like You” video, which will appear on the show at a later date. During the clip, the crew gushes about Constantine and how great it was to work with him.

If you listen closely to the music in the clip, you’ll notice that Constantine has tweaked this song slightly, but it’s still a great one and I hope it can find some success as a single. If you’re watching the show, you know that the song is about to become a major part of his storyline…

If you’re not watching, here’s what you missed last week…

Phoebe decided to go to Constantine’s studio and lay down some tracks, but she wasn’t really feeling it without Rick. So, she called Rick to come sing with her, but he was too busy trying to help his sister Bridget with her egg-switching crisis (which is a genius story in my opinion), so he rudely told her he’d call her back. Constantine, of course, took full advantage to plant seeds of doubt in Phoebe’s head, but she wouldn’t fall for it. Since Phoebe seemed really exhausted, Constantine invited her to sleep on his couch. Watching her sleep, he was inspired to write a song about her (“Girl Like You”).

When Phoebe woke up, she was shocked to discover it was morning and she had spent the night (Constantine didn’t want to wake her.). But being the nice guy he is, Constantine sent her mother a text message from her phone so she wouldn’t worry. Phoebe went back into the studio to work on her song, but she still wanted Rick to be there.

As Constantine was giving Phoebe tips on how to loosen up in the studio—which he could only demonstrate by getting up close and personal, of course—Rick walked in and demanded an explanation. When Rick told Phoebe they had to leave, she got upset and Constantine tried to explain himself. However, Rick would hear nothing of it, telling Constantine he knew what he was interested in, and it wasn’t just her voice…
