“The House Bunny” Review

I saw “The House Bunny” Friday night and I have to say it was pretty darn funny—despite its weak story…

There are many laugh-out-loud moments and one absolute gut buster as former Playboy bunny Shellie (the fantastic Anna Faris) turns a group of “losers” into the most popular sorority on campus.

But since this is an “Idol” blog, I should focus on Katharine McPhee. Kat honestly doesn’t have much to do in the movie, but she makes the most of what she does have. She has a few funny moments of her own, but she also has the movie’s corniest moment (and one of the few sour notes the movie hits). Plus, there’s never any justification for her character being pregnant, other than for a few sight gags.

And it’s really hard to buy that none of the girls know anything about guys when one of them is pregnant. She clearly knew something…

All in all, I think Kat could have a promising career in acting—just as long as she doesn’t try to remake any more 80s punk songs…
