"Idol" Moves Into Fashion

Soon you’ll be able to wear your love for “American Idol”…

FremantleMedia, the “Idol” production company, has inked a deal with Lyric Jeans, Inc., a Los Angeles-based company known for premium clothing adorned with song lyrics from classics like “Stayin’ Alive” and “Revolution.”

The 11-piece “Idol” line, which will initially be aimed at the junior market, is called Lyrix by Lyric Culture and features a color palette of pink, white and black with embroidered or painted logos. One pair of jeans has an image of a microphone snaking up the leg, while other pieces will feature lyrics from songs by past winners or the “American Idol” logo.

The line should hit stores in February. The clothing will also be made available for contestants to wear on the show…
