Simon Cowell is working on a movie based on “X-Factor” and “Pop Idol.”Cowell told the “Sun,” “It’s going to be the modern-day version of ‘Fame,’ although set [at] a talent show rather than talent college.”
“Entertainment Weekly” reports that the movie will center around 10 contestants in a singing competition. The leads will be unknowns cast through an audition process Simon will supervise.
Simon is looking for a Summer 2008 premiere, although a studio has yet to take on the project.
