Speaking of Carrie Underwood, Phil Stacey talks about her generosity toward last year’s Idols in this week’s installment of his diary for “USA Today.”Phil writes that when the contestants were narrowed to the final 10, they each received a gift from Carrie—a note of congratulations and a silver necklace from Tiffany’s. The necklace had a “dog-tag-looking” pendant with each contestant’s name on one side and “love, CU” on the other.
