“Hallelujah,” a classic hits #1

Yes, it was performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, but I think that Jason Castro should get the most credit for the top song on this week’s Hot Digital Songs chart…

Jeff Buckley’s “Hallelujah,” which was originally released in 1994, debuted at #1 on this week’s chart—14 years later.

I first became aware of the song when it was used during the finale of “The O.C.,” but I’m sure it was used dozens of times on TV before that and I know it’s been used dozens of times since.
