A software developer in Cleveland believes he can predict who will be eliminated on “Idol.”
At DialIdol.com, you can download his free software program that allows you to speed dial votes for your favorites. But it also measures the busy signals to determine which Idols are getting the most votes by assuming the more busy signals, the more votes. It also allows you to mark finalists unsafe, meaning that it will automatically vote for the contestant you did not select who needs the votes the most, to help eliminate those you did select.
So does it actually work? The website says it was about 65% accurate last year, but they did predict Chris Daughtry’s elimination—the season’s biggest shocker. DialIdol placed over a million votes last season.
By the way, FOX sent them a cease-and-desist order, but it was determined the site is not illegal…
