When Derek passed along the link to Kelly Clarkson’s new single, he said it reminded him of Alanis Morissette from a few years ago.I was confused by that until I heard the opening words of “Never Again”:
“I hope the ring you gave to her turns her finger green. I hope when you’re in bed with her, you think of me.”
If you thought Kelly was angry before (“Since U Been Gone,” “Because of You”), you ain’t heard nothin’ yet—especially since she uses the word “sucks” in the chorus.
And I can’t believe that this song will fit in with the whole “Idol Gives Back” vibe. Surely she’ll sing something else.
