The Idols DO receive some charity...

So, how about that. “Entertainment Weekly” and I were right. No one was eliminated tonight.

But Ryan milked all of the drama out of “the most shocking result in Idol history” he could by leaving Jordin to stand alone. The audience was visibly shaken until he announced that Jordin was safe too.

Up until that point, I thought the finalists were acting like they knew they weren’t going home, until Jordin fell apart in relief. So if they knew, they forgot to tell her. Luckily, the Bono video gave her the chance to pull herself together so she could start the group sing of “American Prayer.”

This week’s 70 million votes will be combined with next week’s votes and the bottom two will be sent home—which will make things pretty interesting.

Next week is the week we’ve been waiting for—rock week with Bon Jovi…

As for the "Idol Gives Back" extravaganza, there's so much to say I don't even know where to start. I've got three pages of notes I took while watching the show, so I'll need to take some time to get my thoughts together before I write anything. In the meantime, feel free to make your comments.
