Wood djembe drum, 'African Star' In the Akan language, nsroma means "star," its warm glow carved into this djembe by Eric Darko. The drum originates in Benin, where it is used in traditional ceremonies and voodoo rituals. Darko sculpts the drum from tweneboa wood, depicting a horn mask on the base. The goatskin head is affixed by nylon cords, and a macram strap can be slung over the shoulder.
