Tom Cruise has already signed on to play Stacee Jaxx, the rock star who comes to town and steals Sherrie’s heart. There is still no word on who will play Drew, the show’s lead played by Constantine on Broadway and on the current nationwide tour.I’m sure there are a lot of actors director Adam Shankman (“Hairspray”) is considering, but I really think Constantine deserves a shot. If you’ve seen him on the stage—as I did in Cincinnati—you know it’s a role he was born to play. And I can see him working well opposite Hough.
I guess we’ll just have to stay tuned…
