Did America Get It Right?

So, did America get it right? No, they did not. And I don’t think Simon thought so either, which was why he seemed so sad to see her go. But if Simon has anyone to blame here, it’s him. He—and the other judges—were the ones that trashed Alexis’ performance when it wasn’t so bad. And since that song is not all that familiar to a lot of voters, they took his word for it.

I still believe that Megan should have gone home. Yes, Michael’s performance was worse than hers, but I know he has the ability to do better. I don’t believe that she does…

I would like to say, however, that the judges did get it right. Although it was probably pretty tempting to use their save tonight, they know that there are more talented singers in the competition that could need saving down the line. And I’m sure the sight of Allison in the bottom three drove that point home pretty strongly.

Plus, if Adam does any more polarizing song choices, he could find himself in danger as well…

Next week is Motown Week, and you guys know I love me some Motown, so I can’t wait to see what everyone does. There’s a real wide range there from Smokey Robinson to Boyz II Men. I can actually hear Danny ripping out “End of the Road” beautifully right now and I don’t even like that song.

I’d love to see Adam do “Papa Was a Rolling Stone” or “Cloud Nine” from the Temptations…

But we’ll get into that more later. Right now, I’ve got an episode of “Lost” to watch…

Oh and did I mention this year's tour is going to ROCK!...

Henderson, out!
