About to Get Crackin'

Just to recap in case you’ve forgotten, contestants of all ages are singing a one minute a cappella song in front of three judges. The judges will choose 12 finalists and those finalists will have videos of their performances posted on YouTube so the public can vote.

Having performed on this stage when I was younger, I can tell you that it can be a little daunting. It’s not the Kodak, but it’s probably one of the closest things we have here in the Tri-State, so nerves would be entirely understandable.

As of Tuesday, there were 25 contestants. Now I am told there are around 50.

The judges are hanging out backstage, waiting to be introduced by our emcee Brian Scott of WKEE.

We’re about to get crackin’, so stay with me…
