So Who's Going Home?

Earlier today I tried to convince a friend that he was wrong in saying that this season was nowhere near as good as last season. And now, I’m seriously thinking he was right…

What was that mess tonight? What were those terrible song choices? I’m kind of sorry I asked no one to do “Against All Odds” or “I Believe I Can Fly” because even those would have been better than the dreck they rolled out tonight. Only Kris bothered to try something different.

That same friend told me that Kris is going to win and I’m starting to think it’s a real possibility—or at least it should be…

So, who’s going home? I was pretty worried about Allison since she went first until Lil opened her mouth and dared to question Simon. I have to believe that exchange—no matter how hard Ryan tried to cut it off—sealed her fate. And if not, then America needs a serious reality check.

Lil had the judges wrapped around her little finger and she let them slip right off. Simon said it best when he said, “There’s no excuses anymore, Lil, you know? You are not the artist I believe we met seven or eight weeks ago. I’m getting frustrated.” For whatever reason, Lil insists on trying to show us different sides of herself instead of sticking with what she’s best at. Then when the judges complain, she insists she’ll get back to the old Lil. And she never does. As much as I complained about songs from “The Bodyguard,” that would have made much more sense. Her act is getting tired. It’s time for her to go home…

I think I’m as frustrated as Simon is…

And I think Simon answered the question for us. The judges will not save Lil…

I think the bottom two will be Lil and Matt. If there is a bottom three, I’d say the third is a close race between Anoop and Allison. Of those other three, I believe only Allison would be saved by the judges if necessary.

So what do you guys think? Were you as frustrated with tonight’s show as I was?

And are you as ready to send Lil home as I am?
