Could You Be the "Tri-State Idol"?

My friends at the Paramount Arts Center e-mailed me today to tell me about a cool contest they’re doing called “Tri-State Idol.”

The competition is Thursday, April 23rd at 4 p.m. Contestants will select and perform a one minute a cappella song of their choice in front of professional judges. The judges will then select semi-finalists, who will have videos of their performances put on the Paramount YouTube site. The next day, the public will be able to go to the site and vote for their favorite. The contestant with the most votes will be crowned “Tri-State Idol.”

The winner of the contest will be invited to sing at intermission of “Ain’t Misbehavin’” April 28th. They’ll also receive four tickets to “Ain’t” and will meet stars Ruben Studdard and Frenchie Davis after the show.

The entry fee is $5. Tickets for the audience are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

For more information on how to enter, visit the brand spankin’ new Paramount website here. Just click on "Tri-State Idol" on the events calendar.
