Okay, so I've finally figured out why "Hungry Like the Wolf" made the cut tonight...
The Idol song choices came from the "500 Songs That Shaped Rock," a list composed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, music writers and critics. The list--as we saw in the taped intro--is on display to see and hear at the Hall.
"Wolf" is on that list.
Mystery Solved.
