According to reports from EW.com and AccessHollywood.com, when Ryan introduced Bedingfield’s song he mentioned that David had a crush on her. But we didn’t see that because Natasha actually did her song two and a half times and when Ryan introduced her the final time, he didn’t mention it. But Natasha still took the opportunity to react to the information.
So why did Natasha have to do her song more than once? The first time, she forgot the words. According to the reports, she covered it pretty well, but a producer or director noticed and they made her stop and start over. Debbie the stage manager reportedly said, “See, Brooke, it’s not just you.”

After she sang the song all the way through, Ryan came over and kissed her on the lips, to which Natasha responded, “Do you always kiss everyone on the lips?” So, they did it one more time to take out that exchange…
