For a guy who never watched “Idol” before this season, my new friend Tom in Sarasota is definitely getting an education today.
Tom and his fellow reporters from the “Sarasota Herald Tribune” are all over the Syesha beat today as she returns to her hometown. Not only did I talk to Tom yesterday (twice), I also talked to the paper’s business reporter who was examining the possible impact of the show on tourism in the city. I’m actually quoted in her story (Which makes me really hope that Syesha’s homecoming does actually get all of the attention from other media outlets that I told her it would or I’m going to look really stupid).
Syesha’s schedule today began at 7 a.m. with a radio appearance and ends at 7 p.m. tonight with a performance of the National Anthem at the Tampa Bay Devil Rays game.
Yikes!
We’ll see video of Syesha’s homecoming—as well as the homecomings of the Davids—on next week’s shows.
And hopefully on “Entertainment Tonight” and YouTube…
